Very loosely, what this code block does is to tell Twitch your browser (i.e. "client") has a specific device-id. Twitch will not serve ads to this specific device-id (for any arbitrary reason).

WebTTV doesn't work at all for me, with or without Ublock running. The only thing that sort of works is Video Ad-Block for Twitch. Sometimes I'll get the Commercial Break in progress but it only appears once (typically when opening the stream) and I'm good for the rest of the stream. I'm using Firefox, btw.
