WebMar 22, 2024 · Had/Have the same issue. Also with the Asgard 3. Titan video card. I tried pretty much all the “ground loop” fixes, and am almost certain it is not that. Tried multiple DAC’s, including optical on a separate circuit (and same) DAC. No joy. Many days/months/dollars spent on trying to fix the issue. WebJan 6, 2024 · Make sure the output on your DAP it at zero then add some volume. Also start the Asgard very low output and add volume as needed, till you hear something. Don’t hook up your DAP in any form of balanced mode. Only go 3.5mm.

Thx was cleaner and I eventually sold the Asgard 3 for the thx. Less noise is less listening fatigue. I was just comparing the amps. There are smaller differences between the thx amps. The mono price is the best built. The mass drop is next followed by the smsl. Vote.

WebMar 28, 2024 · Funnily enough they both sound better than the asgard/modius combo I was using as far as body and musicality, but clearly are terribly converted from digital. This was more revealing. I hooked up just my Modius using a USB cable and then used a 3.5mm to RCA adapter to hook up the HD6xx directly to the Modius without the use of the Asgard.
