Makes the EPA folks happy. The blowby air contains tiny droplets of oil mist that collect on the inside of the tube. So having oil inside the tube is perfectly normal.

WebJul 1, 2024 · Next install the lower RiffRaff intercooler boot and tighten the intercooler side down and then install the upper RiffRaff boot on the intake pipe and tighten it. Then insert the Driver side intercooler pipe and tighten all clamps and then it should look like this. Then reinstall the air filter the same way you took it out. and then your done!

I think the torque spec is 60 inch pounds, but i bet i have over 60 foot pounds on my clamps at the cast aluminum sided connections. My Ford repair dvd shows 71 inch-lbs / approximately 6 ft-lbs of torque on the hose clamps. I usually tighten them by feel.
