Web20 Feb 2012 · Discussion Starter · #1 · Feb 16, 2012. I'd like my tranny to hold 1st gear a bit longer. It shifts from 1st to 2nd too quickly. Not sure if part of the problem is that I only have 17" of vacuum. Does the TH400's vacuum modulator require 20+ of vacuum, or am I okay with 17? Save Share.
