WebJul 27, 2015 · XeLaTeX will look in the font cache for fonts to use with fontspec. So even if a font is found in TL the font cache might not find it. On linux at least the TL fonts may not be be automatically included into the font cache. It should be read automatically by font-config, But it is not the case then check that if conf.d have some file which will include local.conf (by default that files is 51-local.conf).
